Why am I so passionate about skin health and skin care?

Why am I so passionate about skin health and skin care? Because my whole life I struggled with skin issues. Blackheads, excessive oiliness, breakouts. You name it- I had it. In addition to being an insecure teenager struggling with skin issues, I couldn't find ANY skin care that worked. Sea Breeze, Stridex, Cetaphil, Clinique...you name it- I TRIED IT.

Fast forward to 1993 when I was in L.A. attending Westmore Academy on a makeup scholarship. My instructor introduced me to Dermalogica, and as one their slogans states, that was truly "the moment my skin changed forever". Real results for real people like me. I was hooked and excited to share my newfound knowledge with everyone I knew that was struggling with skin issues.

Healing Hands Skin Therapy is in its 20th year and I can honestly say I am as excited about my job today as I was then. There's nothing more rewarding than treating a client for acne or rosacea or aging or sun damage and seeing the look on their face when they see themselves in the mirror after their treatment. I love what I do. I love my clients. And here's to the next 20 years of #yourbestskinever.
